The future of Pampa Regional Medical Center may be in the hands of Louisiana-based Progressive Acute Care and Kansas-based Nueterra Healthcare. The facility was visited by the CEOs of both companies this morning and officials announced that they are interested in the purchase of the hospital.

David Ayers, CEO of Nueterra Healthcare said that they are just starting to look at the financial condition of the medical center. That means no changes are in the works just yet but Ayers expects to have representatives in Pampa to take a closer look at the hospital in about a week.

The current owner of the hospital, Signature Hospital Corp, is trying to move out of the health care sector and has been searching for potential new owners for the last ten months.
