Methodist McKinney Hospital will officially open for business on Saturday, Methodist Health System officials said.
The 65,000 square-foot hospital will be located at 8000 W. Eldorado Parkway in McKinney. It will feature six fully-equipped operating rooms, comprehensive diagnostic imaging including CT and MRI services, and 15 private patient rooms.
The hospital will serve residents of Collin County and surrounding areas, Methodist officials said.
Methodist McKinney Hospital is a joint venture that involves area physicians, Methodist Health System, and real estate developer, Nueterra Healthcare based in Leawood, Kan. The facility will offer a wide array of physician specialties, including primary care, orthopedics, general surgery, otolaryngology, neurosurgery, gynecology, and pain management.
Methodist McKinney Hospital is the first structure in the medical campus planned for the northwestern corner of Stonebridge Drive and Eldorado Parkway in the Stonebridge Ranch community, Methodist officials said.
The new hospital represents a push by Methodist to expand its reach into areas north, beyond its traditional southern Dallas County service boundaries, Methodist officials said in an earlier interview. Dallas-based Methodist Health System plans to build eight to 10 family health centers in the next three years, including two by year-end.
